The Toyota Certified Program has been around since 1996, with over 7 million vehicles sold since then. There are two levels for this program. Silver-Certified models have to have between 60,000 and 125,000 miles, and they have to pass a quality assurance inspection. These vehicles come with a free CARFAX Vehicle History Report, 24-hour Roadside Assistance for the first 12 months/12,000 miles, and powerful warranties. Gold-Certified models are held to an even higher standard, as the vehicles have to be less than six years old and have to have less than 85,000 miles on the odometer. Like Silver-Certified models, you can expect these vehicles to also come with a Free CARFAX Vehicle History Report and extensive warranties. Like the Toyota brand, the Hyundai brand divides its models into two categories. Hyundai Select Used Vehicles must pass a 117-point inspection. Vehicles produced between 2016 and 2019 need to have less than 120,000 miles, while vehicles produced in 2020 and after must have between 80,000 and 120,000 miles. As for Hyundai Certified Used Vehicles, they have even stricter requirements. These cars need to pass an extensive 173-point inspection, and they have to be fairly new.
